About Three Robins Riverside

A supportive community designed for seniors seeking independent senior living in St. Albert.

What is in a name? The Meaning Behind Three Robins

Why “Robins”?

Robins are deeply connected to their surroundings. They first fall in love with their territory before choosing a mate — just like seniors who want the right home and neighbourhood. At Three Robins Riverside, residents enjoy:

  • 145 acres of surrounding forests, parklands, and trails
  • Morning walks through White Spruce Forest and evening strolls along the Sturgeon River
  • Bike paths through Red Willow Park with local wildlife
  • Canoeing along the Sturgeon River to Big Lake
  • Riverside Landing amenities for shopping and dining
  • Easy access to Lois Hole Provincial Park and the Enjoy Centre

Why Three Robins?

Robins are known for their social nature, often gathering in supportive groups. The “third robin” symbolizes the people who enrich your life beyond your spouse, friends, family, health professionals, or community staff. They are there for you when needed, yet they also support your independence, embodying the heart of our community philosophy.

Three Robins Riverside is a vibrant, independent senior living community for adults aged 55 and older, located in the scenic Riverside neighbourhood of St. Albert. Our community is designed for seniors, striking a balance between independence and accessibility. We offer a lifestyle that allows you to maintain autonomy while having reliable support and services nearby.

Resident & Family Stories

I am an active, healthy, young-hearted 78-year-old senior who thought the same as many people my age do: that I was much too young for “a senior living situation”.  I was determined to prove that I was the strong independent person I always was. After moving into Three Robins I realize I’m not losing my strength or independence, in fact I am reinforcing and gaining so much more than I could imagine.

Three Robins has a strong mission to establish community through participation and volunteerism. Through that, I’ve been able to reignite my passion for the activities I’ve always loved, to discover and learn new activities, to apply my skills and knowledge through volunteerism, and especially, to develop new friendships and regain connections with others. I can truly say that after even a short time here, I’ve discovered  this is a much healthier way to continue my life.

I highly recommend Three Robins for anyone who wants to feel more than “just settling” with their life. Here’s an opportunity to regain your youthful attitude, your sense of value, and your mental and physical health.

I’ve learned that I’m not too young to live in this environment. I want to keep on living life to the fullest! This environment helps me to do that! If you want the same, then Three Robins life is an opportunity waiting for you.

I love Three Robins. It’s very community-minded.

Everybody’s friendly. Everybody’s just happy, happy.

I’m on the rec committee. It’s very interesting. I’m enjoying that immensely. I love to know what’s happening in the building.

All the community, all the activities that we go to, and all the facilities that we have here are just excellent. We’re really enjoying living here.

It’s a good move.

(When asked about morning yoga class: "It was good! We did some big stretches. I’ll let you know tomorrow.")

David and I have been tenants at Three Robins Riverside since the end of February 2026, and from the moment we arrived, we felt genuinely welcomed.

Moving into a new chapter of life can feel overwhelming, but the warmth of the staff, the beautiful surroundings, and the sense of community helped us settle in quickly. One of the things we appreciate most is that Three Robins Riverside welcomes pets. Our little companion Monty and our cat have helped make this place feel even more like home, and it has been wonderful meeting fellow animal lovers throughout the building. Pets bring comfort, smiles, conversation, and connection, and it truly adds something special to the community atmosphere here.

We also appreciate the thoughtful design of the building, the friendly residents, and the opportunities to take part in activities while still enjoying privacy and peaceful surroundings when wanted.

There is a comforting feeling here — one of kindness, safety, and belonging. Three Robins has given us more than just a place to live; it has offered us a fresh beginning filled with friendship, warmth, and peace of mind.
